But you should expect interesting urban views, a voyeur's observational thrill, and the occasional glimpse of something deeply human SurveillanceSaver is a Windows screensaver that shows live images of over 400 network surveillance cameras worldwide. A haunting live soap opera. It is the first release of ongoing experiments with network surveillance cameras. Traveling the world via screensaver can be both fun and mesmerizing with SurveillanceSaver. This simple screensaver displays cam feeds from the Axis Network cameras to your desktop from locations around the world. The more than 600 cameras vary in quality, but most offer an outdoor shot from a surveillance camera giving you a view of the surrounding area. -- Mozilla Thunderbird 3.0 - Jus Released --

Mozilla Thunderbird The excellent open-source Outlook alternative will be girded with a new calendar and better search when Thunderbird 3.0 ships at the year's end. In the meantime, get a feel for the e-mail system that could for Windows, Mac, and your USB. A new Mozilla Foundation effort to improve its Thunderbird open-source e-mail software now has an official name--and its first public goals. Thunderbird 3.0 is due to ship by the end of the year with a more comprehensive search feature and official integration of the Lightning calendar add-on, said David Ascher, chief executive of the newly named Mozilla Messaging subsidiary. The first alpha release will come sooner, though, for those who want to test the software. "I'm expecting we'll have some public releases probably within three months," Ascher said. Mozilla is best known for its success with the Firefox browser, which has dented Microsoft Internet Explorer's dominance and sparked programmers to build a rich selection of extensions. Now the group is trying to apply the formula to e-mail software. Even though many rely on Web-based services for the chore, e-mail software is still widely used, and Thunderbird could open another major beachhead for open-source software in mainstream computing. Although Mozilla Messaging's priority is to produce good software, not specifically to dethrone Microsoft's dominant Outlook software, the new calendar ability makes Thunderbird a more viable competitor, particularly in corporate environments. Adding a third Mozilla group can be confusing, so let me spell out the distinctions for those of you who haven't scrutinized every development in the last 10 years since Netscape and its acquirer, AOL, spun off the Mozilla project in 1998. The Mozilla Foundation, a not-for-profit group, is in charge overall; for-profit subsidiaries Mozilla Corp. and Mozilla Messaging run the Web browser and e-mail projects, respectively. Mozilla Messaging also has named a three-person board of directors: Ascher; Chris Beard, general manager of Mozilla Labs; and Marten Mickos, CEO of MySQL, the open-source database company Sun Microsystems has just agreed to acquire for about $1 billion. More are likely to be added later as the organization grows, Ascher said. The organization has only five or six employees, he said, but others contribute, too, including Mozilla Corp.'s Firefox engineers, Sun's employees working full-time on Lightning, and Qualcomm programmers moving their Eudora software to a Thunderbird base. "You quickly get to dozens of developers and hundreds of testers," he said. Get Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0

FrostWire 4.13.4 - Mp3 finder Software on the 12th rank

FrostWire is a fork of the very popular LimeWire PRO Gnutella/Bittorrent client. The purpose of FrostWire is to keep and maintain the freedoms that LimeWire LLC may be forced to withdraw. Share any type of file on Gnutella and the Bittorrent network. Version 4.13.4 improves connection bootstrapping. FrostWire is a fork of the LimeWire source code, and as such, it functions exactly the same. When you search for a file using FrostWire, you get results from LimeWire, and vice versa. However, the user experience differs in two ways. One is that the code is actually based on LimeWire Pro, the paid version of the popular P2P client, so users don't have to worry about simultaneous download restrictions, and they won't get bombarded by ads. Also, befitting the name, the interface has changed from green to blue and has been slightly improved. Tabs have rounded corners, and there are two additions, as well. Connections monitors your outgoing and incoming connections by host name, but also provides bandwidth information, the vendor and version being used, and more. There's also a built-in community chat. When we tested it, the built-in media player in FrostWire didn't work with MP3s or MPGs, although those files worked fine in LimeWire and elsewhere. The app also comes bundled with the ASK toolbar, but you can opt out of that during the installation process. While some people have experienced faster download times with FrostWire compared with its parent, others have not. FrostWire and LimeWire are practically indistinguishable, although the lack of ads is a big plus. Download FrostWire A Good software for downloading Mp3s...

Latest Top 10 Downloads

First Position: One of the first applications built to find and remove adware and spyware, Ad-Aware's excellent reputation is well-justified. While the 2007 edition is still free, it does have some new features that may make you reconsider the height of the pedestal it sits on. First off, the app's updater is now permanently on, running in your system's background. The irony of Ad-Aware running potential spyware is not lost on us. The interface has also been completely overhauled, and it's a bit more confusing. There are six tabs in the nav bar. Status and Scan initiate adware scans, and finish with a line-item list so you can select which components to remove and create a system restore point. The context menu offers some information about suspected adware, though it's light on details. Other navbar buttons include Ad-Watch, offering real-time defenses but only in the paid version. Plug-ins are disabled in the free version, but the Tools and Plug-ins tab hosts TrackSweep, the new browsing tracks cleaner. Smoothly integrated into the app, it wipes the cache, cookies, and history, and other breadcrumbs left by major browsers. We couldn't help but notice, though, that the Web Update tab, which controls definition file and software updates, ran far more sluggishly than in previous editions, and sometimes even crashed the program. The Settings tab provides access to auto-scans, browsers, scanning, the interface, and log files. The app does an excellent job of removing most malware components, although rescanning is necessary for a seriously infected machine. The freeware restrictions are mildly irritating, but they're nothing compared to some of the serious stability and background processes in the 2007 version. However, it is a fully functional adware remover, and it continues to do that well. With some hesitation, we recommend Ad-Aware 2007 as part of your arsenal. Click to Download Ad-Aware

PhotoScape - the new free software for easy Photo-editing

If you're looking to put together a Valentine's Day collage for your sweetie, it's mighty late to be worrying about creative gifts from the heart. So get a jump on that photo mashup (or is that car crash?) you've been planning for next year's Valentine's Day with PhotoScape, a freeware image editor that's surprisingly feature-rich. PhotoScape distinguishes itself from the crowd with an impressive set of features. Although it eats and leaks about as much memory as Firefox, it's aimed squarely at the at-home image editor who's making the jump to dSLR cameras and the wide, wonderful world of high-density RAW image files, but isn't quite ready for the full-on Photoshop or GIMP experience. Besides RAW conversion support, PhotoScape can handle all other major image formats from JPEG and PNG, as well as animated GIF creation. It comes with prebuilt templates for users to create photo collages, fumetti, and Web comics, and has a standard set of red-eye removal, light/shadow, and contrast-editing features. PhotoScape can convert RAW files, but not edit them directly. (Credit: CNET Networks Inc./Photo by Seth Rosenblatt) One warning about the RAW processing: Although it looks like you can drag and drop, the converter doesn't change RAW to JPEG unless you load the RAW file from within the native file browser. It's a minor bug, but one that can lead you to believe that there's no RAW support at all if you drag and drop from Windows Explorer. You can also batch edit images, combine them, and print them out one at a time or several at once. The program loads fast and possesses an interface completely different from those familiar with Adobe's industry-leading tools. Users are greeted by circular navigator complemented by a tabbed nav on the top of the main screen. Most, but not all main features are accessible from either nav. It might take some people time to get used to the unusual layout, but it's only unusual for an image editor; otherwise it's intuitive, fast, and lacks only the most advanced of image editing features. Overall, the program is a nice piece of work for budding photographers on a tight budget, and those who want to be able to learn a program in a matter of minutes, not days.

AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition

This antiviral program offers rock-solid protection for no financial commitment. AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition provides all the necessities, including a tool for scanning your hard drive and e-mail, as well as a real-time shield to prevent infections. By default, the application is set to search for new virus definitions daily, but you always can use the scheduling tool to change this. Should a virus create serious system problems, AVG creates a rescue disk to scan your computer in MS-DOS mode. The program doesn't tax your system when scanning or when running in the background and always proved effective in our tests. The interface can't be described as beautiful, yet it is mostly simple to navigate. Sure, you can plunk down a lot of cash for an antiviral application with more features, but AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition delivers the goods for free. copy and paste the link below in your address bar to dowload AVG Anti-Virus Software http:<="http:////dw.com.com/redir?edId=3&siteId=4&oId=3000-2239_4-10320142&ontId=2239_4&spi=6106c6065cfb6fe3226c3acf05f72301&lop=btn&tag=tdw_dlicon<ype=dl_dlnow&pid=10788045&mfgId=6270610&merId=6270610&destUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.download.com%2F3001-2239_4-10788045.html%3Fspi%3D6106c6065cfb6fe3226c3acf05f72301">//dw.com.com/redir?edId=3&siteId=4&oId=3000-2239_4-10320142&ontId=2239_4&spi=6106c6065cfb6fe3226c3acf05f72301&lop=btn&tag=tdw_dlicon<ype=dl_dlnow&pid=10788045&mfgId=6270610&merId=6270610&destUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.download.com%2F3001-2239_4-10788045.html%3Fspi%3D6106c6065cfb6fe3226c3acf05f72301/a> //dw.com.com/redir?edId=3&siteId=4&oId=3000-2239_4-10320142&ontId=2239_4&spi=6106c6065cfb6fe3226c3acf05f72301&lop=btn&tag=tdw_dlicon<ype=dl_dlnow&pid=10788045&mfgId=6270610&merId=6270610&destUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.download.com%2F3001-2239_4-10788045.html%3Fspi%3D6106c6065cfb6fe3226c3acf05f72301">Download Now
